What’s the new development coming to Mooresville on the huge parcel of land being cleared on Brawley School Road near The Point? It’s been going on for much of the year. I drive by it everyday. I did some digging and found that townhomes are coming soon to the site. The developer is Tri PointE Homes. The community is called Forest Lake Townes.
Based on the progress of site preparation, it appears that the beginning of construction is not far away. Forest Lake Townes will offer a total of 112 townhomes. According to the Tri Pointe website, they will have 3 plans, each with anywhere from 2 to 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths and range in size from around 1700 to 1900 square feet. Each will also have its own 2-car garage, which I think in an excellent feature. Bathrooms will feature quartz countertops with granite in the kitchens. They plan to have 9 foot ceiling on the first and second floors. No vinyl siding here. Fiber cement siding is planned with brick and stone accents.
Let’s talk dollars and cents. Prices start in the low 300,000s. The monthly HOA dues are approximately $197. A $20,000 earnest money deposit is required to purchase a unit at Forest Lake Townes and is due on the purchase agreement date. Tri Pointe states on their site that the first townhomes may be ready by March of 2022.
